A great reissue of Replica Omega Seamaster 300

Wow, that's a really beautiful watch. Consider for a moment how rarely this ordinary compliment is heard outside the world of watch lovers. We love Replica Omega watches for a host of distinct reasons, but secretly crave a little external validation from the non-obsessed.

In the Baselworld of this year, Omega paid homage to the iconic piece by doing what all savvy watch brands do - launch an excellent reissue. The new Omega Seamaster 300 is a handsome piece. They've been quite identical to the initial case design, even keeping the initial (roughly) 41mm case size.

As a timepiece maker it is a fascinating company that has done a lot and gained a laudable amount of popularity for a high-end exclusive watch maker. However, not everything on the new version is a slavish tribute to the original; there still are some parts which helps you to identify the new and the old. The 2014 version is a mix of the best of the old and the best of the new. The ceramic bezel incorporates replica Omega's liquid metal technology, which is powered by the new Master Co-Axial movement, and the sandblasted dial with inset 'aged' lume markers is a real stunner. In comparison to my other watches, it is light and sits flatly around the wrist which makes me extremely comfortable to put on. The bezel design is a lot more modern than the rest of the watch, lacking usual hash marks, and providing an overall very clean feel - as a matter of fact, merely the aged lume 'pearl' insert gives the vintage game away. The broad arrow handset nevertheless, is pure 1957 - and is a perfect option.

At the first glance, I saw the replica Omega Seamaster 300 through the glass I was skeptical. But now that I've had a chance to hold the watch and try it on, I'm actually convinced that this is the best strap of this style currently available.

And while the brash look might not be for everyone, I'd be amazed if anyone could wear this replica watch for a day and not be sold on its premise. The most impressive thing for me was just how well this watch has held up over 10 years. It's a bold, innovative design. Too often designs like this date really quickly.
